EF40 by sharpness. Nice even chocolate steel color. Evenly microscopically corroded surface. Tiny scrape at rim K8 obverse.

Sharpness VF35 but the planchet is covered with light to moderate granularity and the upper half of the obverse has patches of shallow verdigris. There are a few light hairline scratches hidden in the natural patina in the field under the cap and light rim bruises left of the date and at the second A in AMERICA. The date and legends are bold. VF25  Medium to golden tan, some greenish gold on the reverse. A few tiny pinprick voids K8. Well struck, but very slightly off center towards K1. A deceptively difficult variety to find nice.

STARRED REVERSE. Sharpness close to VF20. The surfaces evenly granular with some pits on the reverse. Attractive black and tan color. A sharp full reverse with all the stars showing.

Sharper by at least a couple points but there are some small pits and light contact marks scattered about both sides, the only notable one a shallow pit at the left top of the R in LIBERTY. No verdigris. Glossy chocolate and medium brown with reddish chocolate in protected areas. Ex. 1997 EAC Sale, lot 114-R. Adam.

A few points sharper with traces of minor roughness under a glossy dark olive brown and chocolate patina. The best identifying marks are a small nick over the T in LIBERTY, some shallow pitmarks around TATE, and a thin vertical nick on the base of the E in CENT. The date is bold and legends complete. F12 or slightly sharper though of course the reverse peripheries are weak. Nice smooth brown color. A few tiny pits reverse and the surfaces very lightly lacquered or waxed.
